I met a strange problem when installing package via apt-get - when trying to install a package in home's network environment, apt always tried to connect a proxy that might be set by Company Admin. I disabled a http proxy in apt.conf but it still tried to connect that proxy. Moreover, my firefox is ok to surfer web, but wget and apt be impacted by the strange proxy.
Finally, I found the root cause - the proxy is in /etc/sysconfigs. I just disabled it and reboot my laptop, everything is ok then.
