The default F-Spot can not work with my Nikon D60 digital camera. Finally, I found below solution that can work with my Ubuntu 8.04 and Nikon D60:
- sudo apt-get install gvfs gphoto2 gthumb
- System->Removable Drivers and Media Preferences->Cameras->Digital Camera->Command->gvfs-mount -s gphoto2 & gnome-volume-manager-gthumb %h
